PROJECT ENGAGMENT
PURPOSE

We believe that everyone deserves the chance to reach the highest levels of opportunities and development regardless of their background.

Creating Society with Dance  Program will add tremendous positive value to national development and cooperation work for the benefit of girls, boys, women, and men by strengthening community activities and providing positive resources that will have a significant impact across a range of communities which will be beneficial for the present and future.  Increase choice and opportunity for young people from ethnic groups, and minority groups that are excluded from various social activities due to financial circumstances.  We aim to provide mental health awareness, inclusivity, and gender equality and build social integration by breaking down stereotypical barriers and fostering the global cross-culture knowledge and understanding of young people.

MISSION

We want to help increase the likelihood of young people from different community groups both nationally and internationally to take part in the arts, irrespective of where they live or what minority group, gender, social education, or financial circumstances. In addressing these priorities we seek to increase attendance and participation by supporting the public to help shape local arts by increasing choices and opportunities for young people to experience and be inspired.

Creative Youth & Cultural Development Program is a unique educational experience where young people will have the opportunity to be educated in various art forms, be creative and interact with other cultures as part of personal development, removing stereotypes, empowering social inclusion, peacebuilding and developing creative skills including providing creative platforms for both professionals and emerging artist to showcase and develop their creative practice. This will improve the quality of life under culturally mediated conditions of freedom and prevail in a human language consisting of categories of creativity and of productivity.

This was made possible thanks to public funding from the National Lottery Arts Council England, OPDC, Asda Foundation and the Great Britian Sasakawa Foundation.

We believe it can help improve the quality of life for individuals and their communities by using multiple creative practices such as dance theatre, event management producing and creative media as a tool to inspire, motivate and unite people while focusing on youth development, diversity, promoting physical, mental well- being and provide opportunities for them to channel their energy and creativity with a positive behavior in safe and family environment during these difficult times. We want to Celebrate diversity and work to achieve the creative potential in all young people attending the workshops, Social gatherings, Battles, and performances by training and supporting each individual regardless of ethnicity, gender, disability, age, sexual orientation, or religion.

OUTCOME

The creative & cultural development program in 2024 has been a great success, exceeding our expectations where we had the privilage of engaging over 2700+ participants and reaching a wide audience of 300,000 through our digital platforms, newsletter and social media. The program has provided a platform for youth to gain a better understanding of the importance of cultural development and how it can help shape and strengthen their lives including providing opportunities for intercultural exchanges between UK and Japan. It has also been a great way for youth to foster relationships with one another, as well as to learn new skills that can be applied to their future endeavors. Through the program, all participants aged between 13-27 years old have had access to a variety of resources and activities that have helped them to grow and develop in their own unique ways. As a result, the program has been an invaluable asset to the youth and has helped to ensure their success in the future.

We have accomplished our fourth development program, providing an inspirational and interactive experience for all taking part and creating a place of belonging for many unrepresented communities and young people both in the England and now expanding to Japan. With the support and help of the National Lottery funding by Arts Council England, Ealing Council, OPDC, Asda Foundation, The Great Britian Sasakawa Foundation, Igym, and local organisations we were able to engage over 2700+ young people from February - October 2024 and put on once again a unique project which we aim to continue and grow further and enable more young people and emerging artists to take part in arts irrespective of where they live or what race, gender, social education or financial circumstances while bringing a wealth of opportunties for the wider communtities to engage in and experience art.

INTERCULTURAL EXCHANGE PROGRAM UK-JAPAN 2024

The main project objective was to use dance to provide creative opportunities to explore new ways of connecting arts and the wider society while also building creative bridges between UK and Japanese communities and Artists. Which also would expand to reach and increase choice in the arts for young people from various community groups and give young people from all walks of life an opportunity to be creative whilst enhancing their knowledge, encourage interaction, learn/build new skills and express themselves in safe environment while providing a place of belonging.  Supported by The Great Britian Sasakawa Foundation.

The Intercultural exchange program has been a great success, exceeding its delivery aims and engaging over 750+ young people including reaching over 200,000+ people who have experienced it through digital platforms. The program has provided a multiple platform for young people, emerging artists and professionals to gain a better understanding of the importance of cultural development and how it can help shape and strengthen their lives. It has also been a great way for youth to foster relationships with one another, as well as to learn new skills that can be applied to their future endeavours and most importantly increase better Mental Health. Through the program Both the UK and Japanese Artists had the opportunity to share their knowledge and passion with others and at the same time provided a space for self-growth and development. As a result, the program has been an invaluable asset to both the youth and Artists and described as a powerful force in bringing together communities from all walks of life.

It has been a valuable tool in celebrating individuals, particularly those from underrepresented communities. The program has helped foster a sense of inclusion and continues to break down barriers by providing access to arts.

It has also provided numerous platforms for young people to have voices of all backgrounds and genders to share their passion and stories and perspectives, leading to a greater understanding of the world around them which allowed us to capture important data and expand our capability by exploring new ideas and develop new avenues to experience. This helped establish dialogue and spark conversation with individuals across different cities in Japan which allowed us to obtain a better understanding of cultural differences and build positive relationships with communities.  The project opened up new network opportunities and increased creative development by allowing Artists from both nations to experience and gain a better understanding of different communities and cultures who also share the same passion and love for the art form.

The Creative Media Peer-to-Peer program aims to empower young people aged 16-25 from Black, Asian, and ethnic minority groups by teaching them the technical and creative aspects of digital filmmaking and media production through collaborative peer engagement.

Our program provided valuable opportunities for peer-to-peer mentorship, focusing on young individuals from historically under-served communities who seek to learn about media production and acquire skills in emerging media technologies. Following the success of our previous programs in 2022 and 2023, we have engaged participants from areas such as Ealing, Acton, Tottenham, Lewisham, Harlesden, and Leyton, representing both LGBTQ and underrepresented communities within the creative arts.

Our primary objective was to develop and enhance each participant's creative capabilities. By assigning tasks and responsibilities, we helped them identify their strengths and weaknesses while fostering leadership skills, creativity, and critical thinking. Participants engage in a collaborative and artistic process that includes making documentaries, photography, videography, journalism, and broadcasting.

Part of the project the young creatives had the opportuntity to work both on Acton Carnival organised by ARTification and New Gen Festival organised by Ealing Council.
